DataInsight is a comprehensive navigation, time-series analysis, and graphing application. Whether you are analyzing the global economy, monitoring market indicators, or carrying out an in-depth study on a specific market or region, with DataInsight, you can complete your research more quickly and easily.

• Workspace functionality: DataInsight (4.0) allows you to work with data without downloading it to a spreadsheet. The new workspace lets you edit IHS Global Insight data and add your own forecasts.
• Library: DataInsight (4.0) includes a library to store your favorite IHS Global Insight series and tables and your own modified series, tables, and graphs. Work is saved to your desktop or server, enabling you to share with colleagues.
• Search: DataInsight (4.0) gives you the ability to type in words and phrases to find the data you need. Search comes in three varieties: Global Search searches all IHS Global Insight databases; Library Search searches your saved data series, tables, and graphs; and Local Search filters the page you have open.

DataInsight (4.0) provides access to IHS Global Insight's millions of time series, many dating back prior to the 1960s. Navigation is fast and easy via data tables, tree structures, and keyword search.

• Tables: Browse by category through formatted tables and press releases

CREATE, MODIFY, AND ANALYZE DATA QUICKLY WITH TABLES
New to DataInsight (4.0) is the ability to work with data directly in a sophisticated table workspace. Whether you are analyzing one of IHS Global Insight's historical or forecast databases or working with your own data, our new table workspace allows you to create new or open and edit existing data tables.

• Open an existing IHS Global Insight data table and apply functions
• Adjust between available frequencies
• View selected series in a graph
• Create multiple tabs for different versions or functions
• Edit labels, modify data, add or delete rows, change frequencies, or apply functions with ease
• Append your forecast to a historical series from IHS Global Insight

TRANSFORM DATA USING FUNCTIONS AND EXPRESSIONS BUILDERS
Functions and expressions builders quickly transform data, enabling you to create your own derived time series and proprietary indices. Seasonally adjust data, calculate annual growth rates, or find the moving average. DataInsight (4.0) offers you a host of functions that can be applied with a click of the button. Once you have transformed the data, save it to the library or download it to Excel®.

PRESENT DATA EFFECTIVELY
In additional to being able to download and update data directly in Excel, DataInsight (4.0) has powerful, easy-to-use graphing capabilities. Create dynamic tables and charts with simple drag-and-drop functionality, and update them in one step. Graph multi-frequency series together, add recession bands, and use smart annotations that can be fixed to a point in time. Toolbars in Microsoft Office Suite® allow you to always keep your presentations and reports up to date.
