WIS Data Access Options
IHS Global Insight offers several convenient ways to access the World Industry Service's comprehensive array of historical data, forecasts, and analytical content:
Direct Data Feeds
IHS Global Insight can establish a direct data feed from the WIS's database to a client's company platform/database.
MyInsight
MyInsight is IHS Global Insight's secure client-access Web site, providing 24x7 access to WIS analytical content, including:
- In-depth sector reports, updated quarterly
- Written analysis of key developments as they occur
- Customized e-mail alerts regarding new developments, updates, etc.
- Regular updates of the WIS forecast
Now Available in the Newest Version of DataInsight-Web!
The World Industry Service is now available in the new version of DataInsight-Web. Features and functionality include:
- Report Wizard: The Report Wizard walks you through the process of creating reports: from selecting your concepts and date ranges, to adjusting the layout and applying functions.
- Ranking Wizard: The Ranking Wizard walks you through the process of ranking geographies or industries by concept to immediately identify your fastest growing regions or industries.
- Smart Workbooks: Save and manage your criteria and settings for future use, and to easily preview and adjust data on screen. Smart Workbooks are automatically refreshed as new data becomes available.
- Custom aggregations of geographies or industries: Create your own market-specific aggregates of countries or industries to display World Industry Service data from your own unique perspective.
- Functions: Apply functions globally to every row in a report or selectively, to individual concepts. Functions include: percent change, moving average, and compound average growth rate.
- Currency Output: View and export monetary data in up to nine major currencies, or in local currency.
Multi-sheet Export: Create multi-sheet Excel documents to organize your data efficiently. Refresh your Excel documents directly from within Excel, without the need to re-launch DataInsight-Web.
Excel Add-In
The World Industry Service can be delivered via an Excel add-in, providing fast and easy access to WIS and other IHS Global Insight historical and forecast data series. With IHS Global Insight's Excel add-in you can easily access and refresh your data. The search function retrieves data by category, description, frequency or date, and updates can be done with a click of a mouse.
