IHS Global Insight's U.S. State Service

Utilizing our extensive regional econometric models, we develop five-year and 30-year economic forecasts for each of the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. We maintain a separate econometric model for each state that has been developed according to the unique features of each state's economy to provide a comprehensive view of a state's economic prospects.

Analysis of detailed industry sectors provides an in-depth understanding of the economic strengths and weaknesses of each state and how its economic structure will evolve over the forecast period.

Delivering comprehensive economic analysis and forecasts for each of the nation's 363 metro area economies and 29 metro divisions, we examine each area's economy in detail, analyzing such factors as:

    Our U.S. county forecasts cover a 30-year period and contain annual data. They are available following completion of our long-term U.S. state and MSA forecasts on a semi-annual basis.
