International Agriculture: Crops Service
IHS Global Insight provides a detailed assessment of global crops, including data and analysis of approximately 25 major crop-producing and consuming countries or regions, along with a world total. At the core of our international agriculture capabilities is our Global Crops and Livestock Forecasting Models, which leverage IHS Global Insight's macroeconomic forecasts to support an integrated simultaneous forecast of the global crops sector.
You receive forecasts of area, yield, production, feed/food use, total domestic use, crush (as applicable), beginning and ending stocks, and net trade for wheat, corn, barley, sorghum, soybeans, soybean meal, soybean oil, rapeseed, rapeseed meal, rapeseed oil, sunflower seed, sunflower oil, sunflower meal, palm oil, rice, and cotton. We also provide historical and projected prices for each commodity for the major global markets that report agricultural prices.
Country coverage varies by commodity because not all commodities are important in every country. In general, country coverage includes Canada, Mexico, the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Other Latin America, the EU-27 (including acreage, yield, and production detail for each individual EU-27 country), Other Europe, Russia, Ukraine, Other Former Soviet Union, the Middle East, China, India, Japan, Australia, Other Asia, and Africa. Each presentation includes comments on forecast assumptions (policy, disease, macroeconomic drivers, etc.), discusses the major forecast drivers, highlights interesting forecast results, and identifies potential areas of risk
